Alpine Village is a small mountain community of about 40 cabins, located just below Sequoia Crest at 6,600’ elevation. Many cabins face south which gives them sun in the winter and wonderful views of Slate Mountain. Like many of the mountain communities, the majority of the cabins are vacation homes, though there are some full-time residents.

This quaint foresty village offers lots of cedar trees in addition to scattered oaks, firs, and pines. There are hiking trails and it is just a quick five-minute drive to visit the Giant Sequoias located in Sequoia Crest.

Alpine Village is plowed in the winter, has a community water system, and satellite and cable TV and Internet are available.

Located about 15 minutes above Camp Nelson, between Alpine Village and Sequoia Crest, is a small area with large (5 acre) lots called Upper Alpine.

To get to Alpine Village, take Hwy 190 from Porterville, through Springville, past Pierpoint Springs and Camp Nelson, and then turn left on Redwood Drive less than 10 minutes past Pierpoint Springs. You will see the sign to enter Alpine Village on the right about 8 minutes after turning onto Redwood Dr.

Alpine Village is conveniently located to many cities in California, for example:
