Pierpoint Springs

Slate Mountain in Pierpoint Springs

Pierpoint Springs is the lowest of the six mountain communities at about 4,600’ elevation. It contains around 85 cabins, some of which are close enough to the Tule River to hear it from their relaxing decks. Many also have some of the best views of Slate Mountain on the mountain.

With its lower elevation and a restaurant, general store, lodge, and amphitheater located at the Pierpoint Bar & Grill, Pierpoint Springs is a community with both full-time and vacation cabin owners. Events at Pierpoint Bar & Grill include Family NIght on Tuesdays, live music on the weekends in the summer, and special holiday events and dinners.

Pierpoint Springs is an easy drive to the many things to see on the mountain, including the Stagg Tree, Trail of 100 Giants, Dome Rock and the Golden Trout Wilderness.

Roads in Pierpoint Springs are county maintained and plowed in the winter, though there is much less snow than in the higher communities. There is a community water system and satellite and cable TV and Internet are available. Free Wi-Fi is available for Pierpoint Bar & Grill customers.

To get to Pierpoint Springs, take Hwy 190 from Porterville, through Springville. You will see the Pierpoint Bar & Grill on the right about 30 minutes past Springville.
