Cedar Trees at Entrance to Cedar Slope

Note: all info and pictures are from before the Castle Fire. All but approximately 11 cabins were lost in the fire.

Cedar Slope is a small mountain community, located about five miles above Camp Nelson off of Highway 190 at an elevation of just under 6,000'. Cedar Slope has an abundance of trees, making for a cool and private location.

Located on Hwy 190 at the turn to Cedar Slope, the Cedar Slope Brew is now open on weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) and serves coffee, drinks, breakfast, pub food and more.

There is river access at the bottom of this cozy village. It is also an easy drive to the many things to see on the mountain, including the Stagg Tree, Trail of 100 Giants, Dome Rock and the Golden Trout Wilderness.

Cedar Slope has a community water system and satellite TV and Internet are available. Not all of Cedar Slope is plowed in the winter.

To get to Cedar Slope, take Hwy 190 from Porterville, through Springville, past Camp Nelson and watch for a right turn to Cedar Slope about 15 minutes past Pierpoint Springs.
