Springville

Welcome to Springville Sign

Springville, known as "The Gateway to the Giant Sequoias" is located in the Sierra foothills. At an elevation of 1,000 feet, Springville offers close proximity to both the mountains and the resources in Porterville, making it the best of both worlds for many people. It contains cattle ranches, small farms, and individual homes, some of which are located on larger parcels of land than in a typical subdivision. Some properties offer river access; others have peaceful views of the Sierra Nevada mountains. While there are a few places to eat and Gifford's Market in Springville itself, supermarkets, hardware stores, and retail stores are only 15 minutes away in Porterville. Springville is home to the River Island Country Club/Golf Course and is also just about 10 minutes away from Lake Success, a boating/recreation/camping area (boats and kayaks are available for rent at the Success Lake Marina).

Community activities include the Springville Rodeo in April, the Springville Apple Festival in October, Concerts in the Park during the summer, Christmas in the Park in December, and a Farmer's Market every Saturday.

To get to Springville, take Hwy 190 from Porterville.
